Youth@THeLittle

What is it?

Youth@TheLittle was founded in November 2002 with a view to making drama accessible to young people.

Y@TL offers its members a wide range of drama-based activities, including warm-up games, improvisation, voice,  mime, movement, working with text, character work and acting skills.

What do you do?

Our youth theatre helps to develop young peoples’ performance potential and stage technique, providing an environment that:

  • stimulates imaginations

  • builds confidence

  • develops social and team working skills

  • inspires spontaneity

We spend the Summer term developing and building on drama skills and the Autumn & Spring working towards our annual production which is staged at the end of the spring term.

As well as the weekly classes run at the Theatre and the annual Youth Theatre production, members of the Youth Theatre also have the opportunity to become 'youth members' of Brighton Little Theatre (for a small annual subscription charge). This then entitles them to audition for children's and young people's parts in the Theatre's ‘main’ productions.

When do you meet?

We meet on Saturday mornings:

Junior Group, aged 7-13, 10-11:15am

Seniors, aged 13-18, 11:15am-12:30pm
