About the Show
The Ruffian on the Stair
In a grotty little bedsit we watch as the lives of three of society's outcasts collide with passion and danger, leaving the course of the future forever altered, for some more than others. Orton said, 'People are profoundly bad but irresistibly funny.' and in this, his first play, his dark humour mixes with shocking and uncomfortable plot twists to capture the futility of repressed desires. An evening of exuberant, amoral, and ruthless excess. Anarchic fun for all the family, but maybe not the little ones… Madam Life's a piece in bloom, Death goes dogging everywhere: She's the tenant of the room, He's the ruffian on the stair.
Man in a Room
A middle-aged man is caught red-handed in a secret British germ warfare facility. He is brought in for questioning by Her Majesty’s government’s most professional interrogator, Agent Stevens. How, and why, did he break into the high security facility? After this interrogation, nothing will be the same again.
